I came to your restaurant with my school when we visited Flanders and later Northern France to see the battlefields, war graves, the Menin Gate, and other things, such as In Flanders Fields Museum. The meal we ate at your restaurant was very relaxed and delicious, and the staff were very friendly.
Thank you so much for being such a memorable part of the trip!

Wij hebben dat enorm geappreciëerd!!! Claudia is superdeskundig geholpen door Dr. Keignaert.
Ze is haar "val" (spijtig genoeg) al weer vergeten en is actief als altijd.
Als we Ieper nog eens bezoeken komen we graag nog eens terug. We hebben smakelijk gegeten in een mooi en gezellig kader. Sorry voor het ongemak dat we jullie bezorgden.
Bedankt U aub ook de kelner die zo graag kindjes ziet, onze kleinste spruit Emiel was er helemaal weg van.

| Thank you so very much, as ever, for the superb way in which we were looked after last Thursday.
Should I have the energy to run another trip next year there will be a maximum of 40 children which is a more manageable number!
Lunch was absolutely fantastic. I really appreaciated the efficient manner in which you were able to deal with so many children and staff in a very short space of time.
The children very much enjoyed their visits to the chocolate shops and came away with bags of purchases! We really were looked after very well and the visits could not have been organized more efficiently so please pass on my most grateful thanks to all members of your family for the part they played in the smooth running of our day in Ypres.
The Domaine Blanck Pinot was excellent and much enjoyed.
My wife and I shall be back Ypres before too long and look forward to enjoying a peaceful dinner (minus 58 children!) at the Vivaldi.

Beste mensen,
Het komende weekend hopen mijn vrouw en ik voor de zoveelste maal Ieper te bezoeken (wij zijn zeer geïnteresserd in de oorlog 1914-1918). Wij hebben reeds een aantal malen bij jullie gegeten en willen dit op zondagavond 17 oktober wederom doen: wij genieten zeer van jullie menu's en vinden het ook heel gezellig!! . Daarom jullie website opgezocht, die wel op mijn scherm verschijnt, maar waarmee ik verder niets kan doen (geen menu's etc.). Kan dit kloppen? Het lijkt mij dat jullie website in een soort stop-stand staat en dat er iets niet klopt. Maar maakt u zich geen zorgen, wij komen bij jullie eten (zondag 17 oktober). We hopen alleen dat jullie dan plaats voor ons hebben.
Wij zijn zeer benieuwd naar jullie reactie op deze e-mail.

Last Wednesday night you most kindly rescued six British customers whose two cars had been towed away from the Grote Markt. It was late; it was wet, like Flanders is known to be, and it was time for you and your wife to go home. It was also difficult for us because we were due to depart for England next morning. So we greatly appreciated your lift along the historic Menen Road to the vehicle yard.
When we eventually managed to arouse the angry crane driver you were kind enough to negotiate with him, and see us safely back to your restaurant to collect the others.
Fist may I thank you most sincerely on behalf of all of us. It was extremely kind of you. In English we say: "A friend in need is a friend indeed". You were.
Second, I should tell you that your staff and the food in your restaurant are superb. We thought the food was delicious (which is why we came to it three times!), and the girls who served us were all very smiling and helpful to foreigners.
So thank you.
When we return we shall park more carefully. In the mean time we will tell all our friends of the great restaurant in Ieper.
